Four days. How is it already here? When did this happen!?
I ask myself these questions every year. And every year, I tell myself it will be different.
Every year I am wrong.
Between last minute-gift wrapping, last minute decorating, and working retail, my stress and exhaustion level is at a high. Be that as it may, I swore to myself when I started this blog that I would post every Monday, no matter what. And it’s late, but at this part of the world, it’s still Monday. And I am keeping my promise. In a very short, last minute way.
I know not everyone celebrates Christmas, and I know not many people read this blog, but I want to thank those of you who are reading. And I want to remind you to take a breath. This time of year is not meant to be stressful. Rather, it’s supposed to be exciting. The year is coming to end, a new one is about to begin. A fresh start as it were, which I know I could certainly use.
This is the time to be grateful and bask in the things you are grateful for. The things in your life that you love. We don’t do that nearly enough, in my opinion.
Whether you celebrate this holiday or not, I hope your December 25th is fantastic. Whether you spend it with family, friends, or maybe your Netflix account, I hope it’s downright awesome. I hope that stress that you’re feeling dissolves, and that relative you don’t want to see behaves themselves. I hope you have the best Christmas/December 25th that you can.
Happy Christmas 🙂
Sincerely, Fiction’s Mistress
